Global corruption scam: Infecting government, business and charities

Scams and fraud and dishonesty and outright lying and stealing are nothing new; but the way in which it can easily be perpetrated now is. The internet, as useful as it is in detecting crime, also is inadvertently perpetuating it. Once, before the rapid communication of the internet, global corruption was rampant, but it was slower.

Government:

When searching online the first headline that was thrown out at me was Free Government Money. There’s a million ways scammers, locally, nationally, and global, try to cheat their governments. There seem to be an aberrant thought out there that governments are ready made for easy handouts. Is it any wonder then that they are now crying in unison, what has happened? Everybody wants a piece of the Grant money. And when they get it, they will spend it in any fashion, if their plans that got them the money fell through, rather than give it back.

Governments are asking for help in eliminating internet fraud and, in fact any kind of fraud. Only in this way can a country secure itself and its precious governing system against crime and evil. To see what you as US citizens can do check out .usa.gov/Citizen/Topics/Intern et_fraud.shtml.

Business:

Of course it is necessary that governments control business fraud but when they deal in it themselves, directly or indirectly, they are opening themselves up to be cheated, used, abused, and blamed for every market devaluation that comes along. It simply goes against common sense that a governing body can play the same game as businesses play and not get tainted with corruption. First they must clean up their own house and then go after the scammers and the corrupt business.

Certainly a wishful thing that only those people above reproach should even consider entering the political arena, but then what else can we do when we daily hear reports of wrong doings and trusts broken by political corruption.

Charities:

When someone, in the name of God, violates a sacred trust and uses money meant for some humane purpose, it is unforgivable. The mails, electronic and regular, are filled with please for money for this good cause and that one. Most are legitimate, and all most of us can do is to sympathize with them and carefully weigh our priorities before we give them money.

Myself, I have been the recipient of much unwanted items that simply arrive at my door, or in my mail box. I simply write, *not ordered* and toss it into the nearest mail box, or better still, toss it into the trash.
