I love how they try to spin turd handouts to the youth into pure gold. If it were not the case that youths will lose substantially at the HC table, Obamacare would not have been possible because its primary funding mechanism is mandates, buying restrictions, and gerrymandered coverage designed to fleece the youth and bailout the obese, smoking baby boomer generation. But throw in a few grains of salt, and suddenly the dems are pro-youth again! Hilarious!

@eqsmooth Dear stupid person. Exactly two inches above your comment toppless09 ASKED ME WHY.

She’s not dumb, exactly, just not insightful. She is mildly attractive in a plain way. She has nice titties (which I’ve mentioned before). But she’s not “hot.” I’d be happy taking her home to mother, she just drags Cenk’s show to a grinding halt.

However, wait a minute. I never even said anything about her looks–why are you objectifying her?

ALL education in Cuba is free

SupremePenguinTone February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Capitalism is like a spider, the web is getting tighter
I’m struggling like a fighter, just to bust loose
It’s like a noose asyphyxiation sets in
Just when I think I’m free it seems to me the spider steps in
This web is made of money made of greed made of me
Of what I have become in a parasite economy

It is exactly like endentured servitude. It is exactly like share cropping too.

jtboll00 February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

@MaicoMoon umm loan means you have to pay it back dude.. maybe you are thinking of student grants??

lostinseganet February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Love the bottom, but they are a tad low…

MaicoMoon February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Isn’t this how the student loans already work? WTF? Free money you don’t have to pay back?

emecham1 February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Ana for president!

beancube2010 February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

With our current technology, Harvest schools (just as an example. I’m not saying they are the best over the world) should be everywhere (or even to oversea countries) free of charge. Communication is the basic of education and trainings, please push more advance programming technology into education.

I do not agree with TYT.
Equality of Opportunity, yes agree, but it should benefit the system and society as a whole as well. Or else it might risk lowering the EO for people that comes afterwords (cost/gain).

“Tying” highly educated people “down” for a while until there settled is beneficial for the system so that they dont leave the moment there finished withe the education.

For lower level schooling it should be free, but for higher you should be forced to take up loans, or similar.

lyfecom February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

i been fucking saying that for years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

everyone of my speech in school or paper or essay or letter to the school was about this topic!!!!!!!!!!

GodAthie February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

the more money students get the more colleges will charge…

its basic economics unless you put price restrictions its pointless

chaseef February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

What is the progressive explanation for high tuitions?

chaseef February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Also because the debt is guaranteed, the banks end up lending much more of it than they otherwise would.
It allows universities to raise their prices without losing students, and kids end up graduated six figures in debt.

chaseef February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Cenk is getting it though.

The government subsidies are also the reason the tuitions are so high.

Its simple supply and demand. When you subsidize something you get more of it. More demand = higher prices.

chaseef February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

Anas comment at the beggining was so ill informed.

HungryNomadicLion February 7, 2012 at 4:18 am

I worked 50 hours a week and slept in my car for six months to finish my bachelor’s degree and pay my way through college, despite a tour in Iraq and getting an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps Reserves. I’ve got tens of thousands of dollars in loans and no job in my field so far. But you know what, it is all my fault, I should have worked harder. The government shouldn’t give me any help because that would be socialism. The TV says socialism is bad. :(
